The Streets of San Miguel de Allende

San Miguel de Allende is such a vibrant city. The color, the art, the music, theater, and the food are magical. But, what makes this city truly stand out is it’s people.

John recently participated in a three day Street Photography course. The images speak volumes about the variety and vibrancy of San Miguel.

A mother and child happily enjoy life as street vendors.
The Street Musicians add color and character to the culture of San Miguel.
By the Mercado Ignacio Ramirez people gather for good conversations and family time.

Gathering at the plaza.
A quiet walk through the Jardin, near the Parroquia, San Miguel de Allende ‘s favorite place to gather.
Keeping the plaza areas tidy is a constant focus for workers. Notice the broom made of branches.

The Streets of San Miguel de Allende are a mixture of Mexicans and North American Ex-pats, poor and not, shoppers and watchers, families and visitors. It is one of the happiest places we have ever visited with all people standing ready to wish friends and strangers a “Buenos Dias” as they pass by.

See you on the road,

Bev & John
