As many of you know, we have been full-time Traveling Pet Sitters for the past four years. We have happily done 30+ 5 Star pet sits in 5+ countries and traveled to 5+ other countries in between sits.
This is a great gig!
Along the way, we learned a few things about ourselves, what we love to do (together and by ourselves), where we love to go, how we love to be with each other, and so much more. These lessons have helped us immensely during these challenging times. So much so that we can say unequivocally that our life has been affected very, very little as a result of the pandemic and the attendant lockdowns.
Watch the video below to learn how this happened. You may want to lower your volume as we get pretty excited!
During the filming of this video, Patron, the sweet dog that we were sitting for, was annoyed at how long it was taking. He sat with his back to us until we were finished and then made us pay by going for a ride in the car.

Thanks for visiting us.
See you on the road,
It’s so refreshing to see you two enjoying life and each other during retirement, especially during COVID 19. Ria and I enjoyed your video about what makes you happy. It is such a nice feeling that you find things to do that make you happy with each other. We are in isolation here in SMA and finding so many things to do as well. I am taking online courses in cooking and Spanish language lessons. We are both doing online pilates classes and Ria is writing her memoirs and joins several online writer’s groups. We are also discovering something new around SMA every time we take our daily hikes. Can’t wait when COVID is over so we can get on a plane to some faraway places. You can see what we have been up to on our blog at http://www.ourprimeoflife.com/ or Ria’s new blog about her writing journey at http://www.riatalkenwrites.com/

thanks for your kind words Glenn. We have kept in touch with San Miguel de Allende since departing in March through friends. The lock down is truly worldwide. Our two mont Pet Sit in Spain cancelled so we have taken advantage of the time by volunteering at this marvelous Hunkapi Farm. Best to Ria, stay healthy, enjoy life. John & Bev

Hi Glenn, great to hear from you. I am starting to write series of short stories re our global pet sitting adventures. I actually don’t really know what i am doing and think an online writer’s group might be really helpful. Does Ria have a suggestion for me for a beginners grou?
